How do I find the nearest Panera Bread?
Type a ZIP code or a city (for example "Columbus, OH") into the finder at the top of this page, or tap "Use my location". The 1,834 cafes with map positions are sorted by distance, and each result has a Directions link and a link to that cafe's official Panera page. Your location is used only inside your browser to sort the list and is not sent to our server. You can also type a street address; that text is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim search service to find its position, and Pin on Map loads an embedded Google Maps map.
Why doesn't the finder show opening hours?
Because the hours in the open map data are often wrong, and a wrong closing time is worse than none. The map data has a week of hours for 1,705 of the 1,834 listed cafes, but when we compared it with 26 official Panera cafe pages we read by hand on October 31, 2026, the full week of hours matched exactly for only 17 of the 26 cafes. So we do not publish them. Each result links to that cafe's official Panera page instead, which lists the weekly hours, drive-thru hours when the cafe has a drive-thru, and the only source for holiday and special-day hours. How many Panera locations are there in the US?
Panera's own site has 2,243 cafe pages, in 48 states and the District of Columbia, spread over 1,593 cities (public sitemap read October 31, 2026). This finder lists 1,834 cafes with a map position, and 1,594 of them match one of those cafe pages by address. The other 649 Panera cafe pages are not matched here, usually because the cafe is missing from the open map data or its address is written differently, so some real cafes will not appear in the results. If your cafe is missing, use Panera's official cafe locator, linked in the sources at the bottom of this page. We did not find a single official national total published by Panera, so we do not state one.
Does this show which Panera has a drive-thru?
Only partly. 293 cafes (16%) are tagged as having a drive-thru in OpenStreetMap, and they show a "Drive-thru in map data" badge. A cafe without the badge may still have one: among the 12 cafes we checked whose official page lists a drive-thru, 4 carry the tag here. Among the 26 cafes we checked, 0 are tagged with a drive-thru that their official page does not list. Panera's cafe page lists drive-thru availability and drive-thru hours, so confirm there.
Are the phone numbers correct?
Mostly, as far as we can tell. We compared the phone number shown here with the number on the official Panera cafe page for 14 cafes, and 14 matched. Phone numbers come from OpenStreetMap volunteers like the rest of the map data, 96% of the listed cafes have one, and a small check is not a guarantee, so use the official cafe page or Panera Guest Care if a call matters.
Why not show Panera's own cafe locator on this page?
Panera's locator is set up so that it cannot be displayed inside other websites, and Panera's Terms of Use do not allow scraping its site. So we do not embed it and do not copy data from it. Instead, this page uses open map data for positions and addresses, and links each result to the matching official Panera cafe page for live hours, services and ordering. 1,594 results (87%) link straight to their own cafe page; the others link to the city or state page on Panera's site.
Can I see menus, nutrition or allergen information for the cafe I choose?
The menu, nutrition and allergen information on this site comes from Panera's national guides; individual cafes can differ. Use the Panera menu and nutrition page, the nutrition calculator and the allergen and gluten pages linked below the finder. Panera's own cafe pages list the services a cafe offers, such as Rapid Pick-Up, Delivery and Catering.
A cafe is missing, closed or has wrong details. What should I do?
For anything urgent, such as whether a cafe is open today, use the official cafe page or Panera Guest Care (855-372-6372). To correct the map data for everyone, edit the cafe on OpenStreetMap, or tell us through the Contact page. We rebuild this finder from OpenStreetMap from time to time; it was last rebuilt on October 31, 2026.
Why do a few results say St. Louis Bread Company?
We show each cafe under the name the open map data gives it. A small number of listings use "St. Louis Bread Company" instead of "Panera Bread". We have not independently verified why, so we show the name as listed and link to the official page for each cafe.
Where the data comes from
Cafe positions, addresses, phone numbers and drive-thru flags come from OpenStreetMap (data as of October 31, 2026). We kept 1,834 of 2,022 map entries: we merged 13 duplicates and left out 164 entries with no street, city or state, because they cannot be shown as a usable address. Phone numbers are kept only when they are valid 10-digit US numbers. We deliberately do not show the opening hours in that data: in our comparison with 26 official cafe pages, the full week of hours matched for only 17 of 26 cafes, while 14 of 14 phone numbers matched.
Links to official cafe pages come from Panera's public sitemap, read on October 31, 2026. We matched 1,594 cafes to their own page by address; 240 could not be matched with certainty and link to the city or state page instead; they may be listed under a different address, or may have closed. ZIP search uses US Census ZIP Code Tabulation Area centers (2025), which approximate ZIP areas.
We do not copy data from Panera's locator, and this page shows no prices; prices are set by each cafe. This page is independent and not affiliated with Panera Bread.
