About You Pick Two® and the Numbers

Every calorie and nutrient figure below is calculated from the Panera Nutrition Guide C8-26 (effective 9/2/2026) data on this site.

1. About the prices

Panera's nutrition guide, the source of all 130 items on this page, contains no prices. The prices section quotes what Panera has stated, with dates, and labels typical ranges as estimates. Your cafe sets the price you pay.

2. You Pick Two®

Panera describes You Pick Two® as choosing two half-size or cup items, such as a half sandwich, half salad, or a cup of soup or mac & cheese, plus a free side. By the guide, a half sandwich is 260 to 670 calories and a cup of soup is 120 to 530 calories. The sides Panera lists are a French baguette (190 cal), kettle chips (150 cal) or an apple (80 cal).

3. Protein and Sodium

Among whole sandwiches, French Ciabatta Dipper has the most protein at 66g. The FDA Daily Value for sodium is 2,300 mg: the whole Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad has 970 mg (42% of that value) while the whole Toasted Italiano has 4,110 mg (179%).

Where the Nutrition Data Comes From

What this site is based on, what it is not, and what we could not verify.

1. Panera's nutrition guide C8-26

Calories, fats, sodium, carbs, sugars, protein and caffeine come from Panera's official nutrition guide (Edition 1, effective September 2, 2026). Each size is copied row by row. We list a selection of items, not every item in the guide.

2. Sourced prices only

Panera's guides contain no prices. Our prices section quotes prices Panera has stated publicly, with the date and fine print, and shows typical ranges only when labelled as estimates. Your cafe sets the price you pay.

3. No allergen or diet claims

Allergens and vegetarian status are not part of the nutrition guide, so the nutrition pages do not state them. Allergens are published separately on our Panera allergen menu, copied from Panera's own allergen guide. Panera cannot guarantee any item is allergen-free.

Menu & Nutrition FAQ

Panera Bread Menu & Nutrition FAQs

Where do the calories and nutrition facts on this site come from?

Every calorie and nutrient figure comes from Panera's official nutrition guide: Panera Nutrition Guide C8-26 (effective 9/2/2026). This site is independent and is not affiliated with Panera Bread. It lists a selection of Panera items rather than every item in the guide, and Panera notes that menus and nutrition can vary by location, so check Panera's own guide or app for your cafe.

How many calories are in Panera's Broccoli Cheddar Soup?

Per the guide, a cup has 280 calories, a bowl has 420 calories, and a sourdough bread bowl has 930 calories. The bowl has 1,520 mg of sodium, which is 66% of the FDA Daily Value for sodium (2,300 mg).

What is the Panera 'You Pick Two®' meal?

Panera describes You Pick Two® as choosing any two entrees, such as a half sandwich, a half salad, or a cup of soup or mac & cheese, plus a free side. The usual side choices are a French baguette (190 calories), kettle-cooked potato chips (150 calories) or an apple (80 calories). Panera says offers apply at participating cafes and prices vary by item, so this site does not state a You Pick Two® price.

What are the lowest calorie options at Panera Bread?

Examples at or below 400 calories in the guide: a Half Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich (260 cal), a Cup of Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup (120 cal), a Half Asian Sesame Chicken Salad (260 cal). Choosing an apple as your side adds 80 calories, compared with 190 for a baguette. Use the sort and filter options in the calculator to see every item and size by calories.

What are the best high-protein items on the Panera menu?

Among the items listed here, the whole French Ciabatta Dipper sandwich has the most protein of any sandwich at 66g, and the whole Chicken Bacon Rancher has 52g. The whole Green Goddess Cobb Salad with Chicken has the most protein of any salad at 40g, and the Asiago Bagel Stack - Sausage & Egg has 33g.

What daily values are used for calories, sodium and sugar?

Panera's materials say 2,000 calories a day is used for general nutrition advice. The U.S. FDA's Daily Values, which are not set by Panera, are 2,300 mg for sodium and 50 g for added sugars. Panera's guide lists total sugars, not added sugars, so the 50 g figure cannot be applied to the sugar numbers on this site. Your own needs may differ, so talk to a doctor or dietitian.

Does Panera Bread guarantee allergen-free food?

No. Panera states that it cannot guarantee any menu item is free of allergens because of shared equipment. The nutrition tables do not list allergens, because Panera's nutrition guide does not contain them, but our Panera allergen menu page (/panera-allergen-menu) copies Panera's Allergen Guide. You can also read Panera's own guide (https://www.panerabread.com/content/dam/panerabread/documents/c8-26-allergen-guide.pdf) or ask your cafe before ordering.

How much does Panera food cost, and where do these prices come from?

There is no single national price: each cafe sets its own, and delivery prices are higher than in-cafe prices. Panera's nutrition and allergen guides contain no prices. In 2026 Panera itself stated Mix & Match items at $4.99 each, Chicken Roma and Spicy Steak Asiago Bagel Stacks at $7.99 each, and Market Bowls from $9.99 at participating cafes. Typical ranges, which are estimates from third-party price guides and not Panera figures, are whole sandwiches $9.99–$16, a cup of soup $5–$7.19, a bowl of soup $7–$11 and whole salads $8–$17. Each figure has its source and date in the menu prices section above (#menu-prices). Check the Panera app or panerabread.com for the price at your cafe.
